Fastest Electric Scooter – The 7 Best Options

While there is so much more than just ‘speed’ that you need to think about when it comes to looking for an electric scooter, I do understand if speed is at the forefront of your mind.

After all, if you are picking up an electric scooter, it should get you from point A to point B faster than walking or light jogging. I personally get really scared at over 40 mph on an e-scooter.

Here is my list of seven fastest electric scooters on the market. There may be other fast or even faster scooters out there, but I have excluded them from the list because all they really have going for them is speed. They just do not function well in any other aspect and I doubt that you would want to be riding them.

Let’s start off with a comparison table listing 7 fastest electric scooters on the market. We have highlighted the bestseller in green and the best choice in our opinion in red.

With a 2000w hub motor and a maximum speed of 40 miles per hour, the NANROBOT D4+ is currently the fastest electric scooter on the market.

With a range of 45 miles, it is one of the longest running electric scooters on the market too, although it comes with the price point to match.

The acceleration on the NANROBOT D4+ is second-to-none. Even on the highest speed settings, you will be reaching it incredibly quickly.

However, do bear in mind that before you hit that accelerator, you are going to need to make sure that you have the perfect stance or you are going to be thrown off.

Specs Box:

Top Speed:
40 mph / 64 kmh

Max Range:
40 miles / 64 km

2 x 1000W

Charging time:
10 – 12 hours

Wheel Diameter:
10 inch / 25 cm

77 lbs / 35 km

Load Capacity:
330 lbs / 150 kg

Disc brakes

Of course, when you are travelling at a blistering pace, you need to be able to slow down quickly. You will be pleased to know that the D4+ comes complete with an emergency braking system.

This is one of only a few fast electric scooters on the market to boast something like that, and it is completely phenomenal at what it does.

While this electric scooter is likely going to appeal most to those people doing their morning commute, it is able to accomplish so much more than that.
For example; one of

the reasons as to why it carries such a high price tag is due to the fact that it has an all-wheel drive system. This makes it dreadfully simple to travel over the most uneven of terrain.

You will also find 6 shock absorbers built into the scooter, which means that even when you are travelling on the most uneven terrain ‘off-road’, you are probably going to have one of the most comfortable riding experience possible on a scooter.

2. Qiewa Q1 Hummer Electric Scooter

This Taiwanese-built fast electric scooter is one the fastest products on the market. It is able to achieve a whopping speed of 35 mph.

Despite the high speed, the company has not really sacrificed any of the other features that you find on the scooter.

For instance, let’s take the range of the Qiewa Q1.

Top speed: 35 mph / 56 kmh

It is able to travel a tremendous 60 miles in good conditions. However, it is unlikely that you will get close to that, mostly because the Qiewa has been built to be more of an off-road scooter. But it is nice to have a range like that nonetheless!

Honestly, Qiewa Q1 is not the most portable electric scooter in the world. It weighs in at a hefty 60lbs, so you will not to be carrying this around. However, you get a lot for your money. That includes front and rear suspension as well as front and rear hydraulic disc brakes, LED headlights and taillights. In fact, it has lights everywhere you can imagine.

This is a scooter you can also lock up without issues. It has an alarm and a keyless remote.

Qiewa Q1 is a fast electric scooter for a very specific purpose (i.e. having fun off the road), however, it is actually the second fastest scooter on our list.

3. UberScoot 1600W

This scooter clocks in at 30 mph. However, it has a bit of smaller range than some of the other scooters on this list. You will be able to get about 12 miles out of it before it needs to be charged, if you are travelling at full speed.

Nevertheless, the UberScoot has one handy built-in feature.

Top speed: 30 mph / 48 kmh

On the ‘control panel’, you will find a button which allows you to switch on economy mode. If you hit this, then the maximum speed of the electric scooter will be capped out. Acceleration will be severely limited too.

This means that you will be able to squeeze a few extra miles out of the UberScoot, which is ideal when you are going to travel for commuting. After all, you will most probably not need to travel at 30 mph while commuting anyway.

There are other features on this electric scooter, such as an in-built seat (which you can remove if you wish), which means that you can use the UberScoot for riding in either a seated or a standing position. I can’t imagine that many people will be riding the scooter in a seated position though, because the seat is quite small. However, it is always nice to have the feature in case you may need it.

The scooter is the heaviest that you will find on this list. It weighs in at 117lbs. This means that you won’t be carrying this baby around while in a hurry. This is actually a little bit odd, because it is a folding scooter. However, I guess it is really meant for folding while in storage, not for carrying around for long periods of time.

4. Massimo 8”

With a top speed of 30 miles per hour, you will be zipping along the floor like crazy with this Massimo Electric Scooter.

This electric scooter has three distinct speed settings, which ensure that you are able to get from point A to point B with the minimum amount of fuss. While it would have been fantastic to have a bit more control over the

Top speed: 30 mph / 48 kmh

speed than just three predefined marks, the three speeds have been selected well enough that you will feel that the scooter is incredibly versatile.

With a maximum range of 5 miles, this is perfect for a quick commute into work.

The Massimo Electric Scooter comes complete with a lithium-ion battery, which means a speedy charge once you get to where you need to be, which means the low range doesn’t matter too much.

The speedy charge is all down to the fact that this is a tiny battery, which packs a surprising ton of power into the scooter.

For those who love portability, you will struggle to get much better than this. The entire frame folds down in seconds and can easily be slid into your cupboard when not in use. At work, it is just small enough that it can be placed under your desk.

If that wasn’t enough, the 8” tires are fantastic for even the bumpiest of rides during your morning commute to work.

They are even good enough to be able to do a bit of light off-roading if that is something which tickles your fancy.

However, this is not an electric scooter that you are likely going to want to be using off-road for extended periods of time.

5. Super Turbo 1000W Elite

This is a scooter with the max speed of 27 mph. It weighs 75lbs and has a max range of 20 miles owing to its superior lithium battery.

While the power of this scooter means that you can travel off-road with it, it is more likely that people are going to be using this on their daily commute. You will be able to enjoy an incredibly smooth ride if that is what you end up using it for too.

Top speed: 27 mph / 43 kmh

The Super Turbo 1000 Elite has 10.5” tires on it, shock absorbers at the rear and the front of the vehicle and a heavy duty chain.

This means that no matter how rough the terrain you are travelling on is, you are going to be able to enjoy an incredibly smooth riding experience.

You are able to choose between drive modes on this scooter, although it is not really going to change the range for you. You can either opt for eco or turbo mode. Only opt for turbo mode if you are going to be travelling off road or something like that. This is because the turbo mode does not have speed limitation in place, which means that if you are travelling in packed areas, you are going to be braking almost constantly which can severely lower the range that you get out of your scooter. It is more for those times when you really want to go ‘all in’.

This is a well-built scooter and it is easily going to provide you with years and years of happy use. However, one thing that I especially loved about this scooter is the fact that just about every single part on it is replaceable. It does not take long to get hold of the replacements either. Any shop worth their salt will keep them in stock, but if you have trouble sourcing parts in your local area, then you can give the company a call and they will be more than happy to sell you any part you need. The parts are affordable as well.

6. WideWheel

This is the first scooter on this list which actually looks like your traditional micro scooter. It has a 500 watt hub motor which is able to offer 25 mph max speed over a range of 15 miles.

The WideWheel is called so due to the size of its wheels (which was likely obvious). It is the size of these wheels which actually help you to get the most out of this scooter.

Top speed: 25 mph / 40 kmh

Apparently, the wheels aid with the speed. However, they also provide you with another huge benefit. If you are travelling at a fast speed, you need to make sure that the scooter is not rocking all over the place otherwise it will cause issues.

The wide tires help to provide a decent amount of grip. They also help to ensure that the suspension works properly so that you have an incredibly smooth ride.

Despite the wealth of features that can be found in the WideWheel and a powerful lithium battery pack, it is a surprisingly light scooter.

It comes in at just 37.9lbs, which means that most people shouldn’t have any real issues in folding it up and carrying it around.

Overall, this is the type of scooter which is going to be perfect for your daily commute to and from work.

7. EcoReco M5

The final electric scooter on my list is EcoReco M5. It comes in at a maximum speed of 22mph and with a range of 20 miles.

It isn’t clearly the fastest electric scooter on this list, but it’s still a very decent option to consider.

The scooter weighs 36 pounds, which means it should not be that difficult to carry around.

Top speed: 22 mph / 35 kmh

There are actually several features on the EcoReco M5 which are not included on the other scooters mentioned, but you wouldn’t realize they would be handy to have until you have experienced the feature yourself. For example, this electric scooter contains a tripod mount which will allow you to have your phone in place.

This means that you can have a GPS on your scooter, which is great for travelling around in not so familiar places.

It doesn’t take too long to charge up the scooter’s lithium battery either. You should be able to get it almost charged (around 80% full) in a shade under 3 hours. Most other scooters on this list are barely going to achieve that within 7 hours.

This is very much a scooter which has been built for portability too. It literally takes seconds to fold it up, and it is so small that you can hold it in front of you while you are travelling on public transport.

This scooter is a little bit on the expensive side in comparison to other scooters on this list, but the price is hardly going to break the bank. Plus, the price is fair enough for something of high quality. None of the parts on this will need to be replaced for years.

8. Dualtron Thunder

The final electric scooter on my list is a newcomer called Dualtron Thunder. This scooter is a BEAST.

It does beat all the above scooters in almost every aspect, but it comes with a cost – a whopping 3,800$.

I don’t know many people who can afford to spend that on a scooter and this is why we haven’t ranked it higher.

Top speed: 50 mph / 80 kmh

It’s a true fanboys favorite. If you’re really into electric scooters then this might just be the option to choose. And to be fair, if this product could replace your car for everyday work commutes, it still is a bargain.

A bargain when compering the cost of ownership, including maintenance and fuel/electricity. The 3,800$ price tag might not be such a huge issue if it can replace the second car in your family.

Dualtron Thunder has a top speed of 50 mph or 80 kmh and a range of  75 miles or 121 km owing to it’s massive lithium battery. This thing can sure take you places and the ride is comfy thanks to it’s powerful suspension system.

You can buy Dualtron Thunder directly from it’s American distribitors:

Fastest Electric Scooters: Verdict

While all of the 7 electric scooters that we have listed have their own charisma and advantages, we would still go for the one and only UberScoot 1600W.

Fastest Electric Scooter Under 500$

hiboy e-scooter

Most of the electronic scooters on our list cost north of 500$. This however, might be more than most people are willing to spend on a scooter.

The fastest e-scooter that cost below 500$ is the Hiboy MAX electric scooter. It costs around 400$ and travels up to 18.6 mph or 30 km/h.

The range on this thing is up to 17 miles or 27 km, again beating many of its competitors. Overall it’s a surprisingly good product given that most people have never heard of the product.

Hiboy’s customer feedback on Amazon is better than most other e-scooters, even beating Segways. Due to it being a very good product, it’s constantly out of stock, check below if it’s available in case of interest.

What is the Fastest Scooter You Can Buy?

nanrobot rs7 full view

The fastest scooter you can buy is the Nanrobot RS7. It has a max speed of 52 mph or 84 kmh and a max range of 55 miles or 89 kilometers.

You could cover some serious ground on this thing. And the ride will be comfortable thanks to the scooters’ advanced suspension system.

However, it does cost a whopping 2,800$ and only has three reviews on the product’s own website, which may indicate that there aren’t too many people dropping 3K$ on an electric scooter.

But if you do decide to go for it, I could only imagine how fun it’d be to go past cars on the streets. This does come with some serious risk of injury of course.

What is the Most Powerful Electric Scooter?

The answer is the same as above – Nanrobot RS7 is the most powerful electric scooter. It has a dual 1600W brushless hub motor and an incredible battery life that can cover up to 55 miles.

This allows to climb up to a 65 degree angle, which is unmatched by any other product currently on the market.

All this does come with a cost though. The scooter costs nearly 3K$ and weighs 88 lbs, 40 kg due to the large engine and the lithium battery pack. You won’t be carrying it up the stairs too often.
